If there are unexplained little holes in your quilt, there is a good chance that they were made by an industrious little mouse. Holes really weaken the quilt, and are a priority for repair.
Here’s a little mouse hole, completely through the quilt. The white area you see in the center is the white muslin I keep under the quilt. This hole is about 3/4”X1 1/2”.
Restoration of the front fabric is finished.

You can see the repair of the back of the hole from the front. The blues are different shades, because the back is not as faded as the front. I’ll custom match each side separately.
Replacement cotton batting is layered on top of the back replacement fabric.
