Due to TIME constraints, I can only accept a few projects per year. I am currently filling my 2008 schedule. Contact me if you would like to have your quilt evaluated.
Please do not ship a quilt to me for evaluation until we have spoken on the phone. I will give you specific mailing instructions and a shipping address. Or, if you are within driving distance, you are very welcome to bring your quilt for evaluation.
PHONE Toll Free: 1-800-396-9996, pin 7295
An evaluation/assessment can be done at any time to determine recommendations for your quilt. There is a small fee for the evaluation, but you are under no obligation to have work done. The evaluation answers the basic questions “Can my quilt be saved, what does my quilt need, and what will it cost?” as well as any specific questions you have about your quilt or the restoration process.
There is Absolutely NO OBLIGATION in asking questions about the restoration process . . . I love hearing about your quilts!
Some customers want to store and preserve their heirloom quilt, and have a similar looking quilt for everyday use. I am now offering Quilt Replication Services (quilt or quilt top), for this type of request. Please email or phone me for more information.
I will also help you locate reproduction fabrics, figure fabric quantities, and reproduce block designs and patterns if you want to make your own replica quilt. Feel free to contact me if you need to match a vintage fabric...I’ll check my stash!
Custom Hand-Quilting Services
If you would like an estimate for hand-quilting a piece, please email me.
PLEASE NOTE: I do not quilt vintage tops, because I believe that adding “non-original” batting, backing, and stitching destroys the antique value of the top.
New Quilting stitches through older fabrics will also cause undue wear, and may cause holes to develop.
However, repairs to a damaged vintage top will usually prevent further damage from occurring. If you have a vintage quilt top that needs fabric replacement, repair, or seam restitching, I will be happy to provide an estimate for that, too. Keeping a quilt top structurally sound is a good way to preserve it.
If you have any comments or questions, or simply need more information, please contact me at mindy@restorequilts.com Additional contact information is in the left sidebar on this page and throughout this site.
Thanks for visiting! I look forward to serving you.
